Terms and Conditions – Budha Home Design N.V.

Applicability​

1.1. These terms and conditions apply to every offer, order, sale, or delivery of products and services by Budha Home Design N.V.
1.2. Obvious errors or mistakes, such as printing and typographical errors, are not binding on Budha Home Design N.V.
1.3. By placing an order with Budha Home Design N.V., the customer agrees to these terms and conditions.

 

2. Installation Conditions​

If you engage Budha Home Design N.V. for the installation of your Coretec floor, the following guidelines apply:
2.1. The room must be empty, clean, and level. All furniture and household items must be removed in advance, unless otherwise agreed. Existing skirting boards must be removed.
2.2. Budha Home Design N.V. is not liable for damage to walls, ceilings, frames, or other items occurring during installation.
2.3. Materials must, if possible, acclimate in the installation area for at least 24 hours in advance, preferably at room temperature.
2.4. Check the color, size, and quality of the product before installation. In case of doubt: immediately contact Budha Home Design N.V. and do not proceed with installation!
2.5. If insufficient material has been purchased, the customer must supply the additional material. Extra materials will be charged separately.
2.6. The correct underlay must be used depending on the situation (apartment, concrete, wood). A pressure-resistant underlay is recommended.
2.7. Kitchens must always be installed on the structural floor.
2.8. Expansion profiles are mandatory in rooms larger than 50 m² to maintain warranty.
2.9. A 10 mm expansion gap must be maintained around the floor at walls, frames, thresholds, and heating pipes.
2.10. Glue joints must be bonded with waterproof parquet adhesive.
2.11. Additional work, such as shortening doors or fitting kitchen plinths, is not included in the installation price.
2.12. The customer is responsible for the disposal of waste after installation.
2.13. If installation cannot take place due to customer negligence, a fee of SRD 1,000 per day will be charged.

 

3. Payment and Ownership​

3.1. Upon order confirmation, the customer must pay 25% of the total purchase amount in advance.
3.2. Purchased products must be paid in full at least 3 days prior to delivery, unless otherwise agreed.
3.3. Budha Home Design N.V. retains ownership of products until full payment has been received.
3.4. Payment can be made by bank transfer to [bank name and account number] or other agreed payment methods. Cash payment is possible upon agreement.

 

4. Delivery and Transport​

4.1. Delivery takes place up to the first threshold on the ground floor (for example, the sidewalk). Additional delivery requests must be agreed in advance and may involve extra charges.
4.2. Customers must be present at delivery to inspect the goods immediately for damage or errors. This must be done before signing the delivery note or receipt.
4.3. Any damage or discrepancies at delivery must be noted on the delivery note and reported in writing to Budha Home Design N.V.

 

5. Cancellation and Returns​

5.1. Cancellation before delivery: In case of order cancellation, Budha Home Design N.V. charges 50% of the purchase amount. No refunds apply to custom-made or special orders.
5.2. Cancellation after dispatch: If an order has already been shipped, delivery costs will not be refunded.
5.3. Returns: Only stock products can be returned within 14 days, provided they are unopened, undamaged, and in the original packaging. Return shipping costs are borne by the customer.
5.4. Budha Home Design N.V. does not accept returns of opened, damaged, or custom-made products.

 

6. Warranty and Liability​

6.1. The warranty period depends on the product description. No warranty is provided on second-hand products.
6.2. Warranty lapses if:

• The product has been incorrectly installed.

• Instructions from Budha Home Design N.V. have not been followed.

• Incorrect maintenance products have been used.​

6.3. If the customer installs the floor themselves or engages a third party, Budha Home Design N.V. is not liable for damage or errors during installation.

7. Force Majeure​

7.1. In the event of force majeure (such as strikes, natural disasters, import restrictions, or unforeseen transport issues), Budha Home Design N.V. has the right to suspend deliveries or dissolve the agreement without compensation.

 

8. Governing Law and Disputes

8.1. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Suriname.
8.2. Disputes shall be submitted to the competent court in Paramaribo.
